How to find your creative style with “Split Toning”

In my opinion, the most underrated tool of Lightroom is “Separate Tinting”. Meanwhile, this is not only a great opportunity to correct many problems in a photograph, but also a great way to develop your own creative style of image processing.
If you are not familiar with “Separate toning”, then its essence is the following – you apply a specific shade separately to the shadows and lights of the picture in order to get the separation of colors without changing the brightness.

SEE IN BOTH? OR NOT?

Most of us look at the world with two eyes. But whenever a person takes a picture, one of them closes. Maybe we should stop this practice forever?
With a few exceptions, cameras do not have two lenses at the same time. They create an image with a single lens, so the results are always two-dimensional.
However, when you look through two lenses, like through binoculars, you can perceive more depth in the picture. That is why we look with two eyes, it helps us to perceive the depth and distance between objects.
Closing one eye allows a person to see the picture in the same two-dimensional manner as the camera. This can be useful for previewing a photo. When you use one eye, you see the relationship between objects in your field of view differently. This can be especially useful when creating a portrait or photographing everything that you want to separate from the background. Continue reading

6 IDEAL WAYS TO NOT FEEL A FAILURE IN PHOTO

Perhaps every portrait painter who shoots in the open air faces a problem concerning the main points on which a good portrait depends, such as staging, lighting, composition, etc. And perhaps the biggest mistake made when shooting portraits outside the studio is the lack of attention to the background.
Photographers who do not carefully study the surrounding space in which a photo session takes place are doomed to failure. When they begin to review the footage, it is sure to find out that most of the pictures can be sent to the basket just because the background was not given due attention.
Not one customer will pay for the pictures, where a branch, some other unnecessary detail “sticks out” from a person’s head or other parts of the body.
